It's nice when people are willing to admit when they made a mistake instead of giving the illusion that everything that they do makes them money. Thanks for the honesty and the tips

Hey guys would you ever consider making a video of you sitting down and actually going through the process of researching a security? Like in order of what you prefer to do and look for when you are interested in a company?

I personally wouldn’t mind sitting through a longer video or series of videos of you breaking down a company step by step.

This gives you real credibility. Your brand can only grow with this kind of honesty and humility.👍

I get the point of taking profit, but if I'm building a dividend portfolio, isn't that kind of the opposite of selling my stocks to make a profit? Wouldn't it be better to strengthen my position and continue to buy no matter what?

Marc and Brandon, are you keeping high % cash in your portfolio due to the volatile market? How do you maintain the cash, are you investing it in some kind of fixed income ETFs? Would love an episode on this kind of topics. Thank you, stay safe!

Great vid. My worst mistake was being over-positioned in a single stock with a small float which made me not able to get out at the right time losing over multi six figure amounts.

I am a rookie. One of the mistakes I have already made was FOMO. Saw a fund going up up and up, had some money in a savings account earning nothing in interest. Figured why don't I just buy into this fund....short ride the wave going up. I bought at the crest of the wave....watched a few more of your videos and realized my many errors. Took a little bit of a loss, but am very happy that I wised up when I did.
Thank you for the content, it has taught me so much and is helping me stay grounded.

Thanks Marc. I remember the hype with the dot com stocks, high flying stocks with limited revenue and/ or no profits and people were going crazy for them. I lost a lot on those back then. Again investing in un-proven companies. This last year reminds of of those times, some stock continuing to go up and they are no profits at all. FOMO. Now they are falling hard. Difficult time but the feel is the same

Enbridge is my go to income retirement stock. I don't take any profits out as it is a sleep at night stock.
Power of compounding. Saw you in Richmond one day.

Would you go over the investment books in the background? I can tell one is the intelligent investor. Maybe give a quick review of each and if you recommend them.

I have made many mistakes, but my biggest mistake was buying Baytex, Crescent Point, Vermilion, and few others in the energy patch, and not selling them when the oil market fell. I honestly felt that it was just cyclical and oil would eventually recover. That never happened. Even with this great year many of my oil stocks are still down over 85 percent. Only Suncor broke even and Canadian Natural Resources made any money. This was my biggest mistake. If I go back in time, I could have told a younger me to just buy one Canadian ETF and one US ETF, and not worry, but instead I became a stock picker.

Doubling down on stupid ! Buying more of something that is tanking. Recently did that one. It's actually worked almost every time for me but the latest one went all the way to zero. That hurt.

Ballard power! I almost bought them! My worst mistake has been Agraflora. I was banking on their Gummies and cannaibis sales to bring the stock up quite a bit, but they sold the gummy business and the cannibis sales were...disappointing. I bought in at some several cents, so there wasn't much room for it to fall, but if it went up even 10 or 20 cents on the potential sales, I would be doing pretty well. Then they did a reverse split 1:100 or something...1:100, and the stock proceeded to fall more...as there was now $3.00 of room not $0.03. I sold at $0.80 and I think now it is back down to 3 cents... Not a lot of money involved, I knew it was risky so I didn't put in a lot, but still...

but really, my worst mistake was buying speculative stocks with no dividends where the risk reward was great...but I lost every time!

Hello Marc and Brandon. Would you guys consider making a video on how you analyze a company’s worth/value and how you analyze a good company to buy. What kind of research needs to be done and what the process might be in deciding. Thank you very much for all the advise and help you leave for everyone

Thank you for the video, when you said "take profits", at what percent do you take your profits (generally)?

What are your thoughts on NTR.to. Nobody talks about it. I’m very close to adding to my TFSA as it checks all the box’s for me except the yield is a little low at 2.48% if it was up around the bank levels of 3.5 to 4.25 I would be all over buying today. NTR is down 3% in 2022 and feel this could be a good entry point as I need a good materials stock to be added to my TFSA.
