Actually in India we have a rule which noone follows that overtaking any vehicle is from right lane not from left, so if anyone is confused out there from where one should overtake? That is from the right side of the vehicle and if anyone overtakes from left of the vehicle then it’s not the fault of any rider or driver if it causes accident coz in India it’s from the right side or right lane you are allowed to overtake.

Talking about women. I'm a girl and traffic policeman did this to me while i was driving my motorcycle. In kolkata. I was so so mad. TRAFFIC POLICEMAN ACTING LIKE CHAPRI!!!! But i just stared at him. He stared at me knowing he had made a mistake.

I drove off without saying anything. Best to ignore such incompetence

Both. It's your responsibility to be more careful about pedestrians crossing the road and maintain an appropriate speed to deal with an unlikely situation. Also, crossing the road boundaries to overtake the truck is wrong. The woman and her friends are also wrong because they crossed the road without looking and unnecessarily caused other motorists to take evasive action.

Both side fault. First the driver should never overtake on left. So it's the riders fault. And pedestrians should never cross on a busy road.
