My cable company, used to carry Cspan for basic - broadcast channels, then they changed the line-up and moved it and some others to higher channels you could only access with a box. And wanted additional money for box rental- even on a cable -ready Tv.


Well, That was when I cut the cord. No more time-warner / spectrum or any Scammer cable for me.


I miss the comfrot of my living room and distance from couch to Tv, But at least I can watch some things on the Computer.

I don't think cspan accurately measures how much Americans are interested in civic affairs. If anything, it's design propagates the myth that most Americans don't care at all.
Also, I don't believe Comcast cable executives deserve the words of praise Mr Lamb has given them.

Mr Lamb, you could have used this opportunity to explain how c span is making it's way onto youtube and allowing more people like me to see the content who are not premium cable content subscribers. This would be valuably transparent knowledge to share. I hope you do that soon.

Maybe I am just an ignorant young person, but please set me straight.
