The Ukraine war began with Kyiv's NATO inclination, but its entry into the bloc seems bleak. The bloc's key member state, Germany, has made a big disclosure about Ukraine's entry bid. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Ukraine will most likely not be able to become a NATO member state in the foreseeable future as it does not meet a number of requirements for admission yet. The statement comes amid reports of a pro-Russia wave in NATO nation Germany. The DPA news agency, citing a YouGov poll, reported that some 54% of Germans oppose the prospect of Ukraine joining NATO, with only 27% in favour.

The only nations that wanted Ukraine to join nato are UK and USA. They want to take down Russia from within Ukraine. But it failed miserably.
