Read the books and you would know that they are dynamic already. She respects him as does he respects her. He relied on her through out the special investigators / 110th time together. They understood each other and worked in sync.

Master sergeant takes around 8 to 10 yrs to get to if your lucky and have people that like you so realistically she would of been in as long if not longer than reacher and I imagine they would of shown her more respect than a fellow officer
