Retina Display vs Samsung SuperAMOLED featuring Shakira

Color reproduction seems much more rich on the SAMOLED. However, the test may be flawed due to the brightness of the iPhone 4's screen, and the recording quality of the camera that is filming. Having them both side by side can confuse the filming camera's aperture. A better comparison would have been filming them separately at a fixed aperture, then showing a split-screen comparison shot.

@febthemule1 because the materials it is made of they are premium quality while other devices are plastic and the screen is over all more expensive because of the resolution but its true is over 1 year old

the video is cut/zoomed in on the iphone. more noticeable at 2:28, the woman with the yellow thing on her head is cut off on the iphone.

@sephizeus I've used (owned, actually) both as well and the AMOLED is a bit better. It's nothing to do with android. It has to do with finally having a screen technology that's capable of displaying blacks and accurate colors, with a high refresh rate and low motion response (better for video). The contrast ratio eliminates the need to crank screen brightness, which you need to do on the i4 to compensate for its utter inability to display darker hues.

@makemehavefun Well, the comparison between the two is more about the technology and brightness/ color reproduction/ contrast/ etc., rather than the size. The size advantage is fairly relative -- I mean, someone like me, with near-perfect vision at close range, can simply hold the phone a tiny bit closer to make up for the size difference.

@happydoodson no its a big difference i own an iphone 4 and now when i try to use my friends phone cause some have android most have iphone 3g or 3gs, they look like crap. But yah this guy has the brightness all the way up on both and the iphone 4 is brighter so on some things when turned all the way up it looks washed out on camera. I've seen many videos they said amoled does do better colors but iphone did amazing colors anyways amoled does more amazing though. But the sharpness is on the i4.

Have you guys even seen the retina in real life? You can't see any pixels... You can see pixels in the super amoled. Retina wins.

This is the the only video on YT that shows "real" video and not animated one Like Avatar, Big Buck Bunny etc.
Super Amoled is much better here, the picture is more clear on the Galaxy S due to superior contrast and despite inferior resolution.

im a total iphone 4 fanboy because iphone is awesome but i do have to say that super amoled does have little bit better colors
