UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has defended his government’s plans to stop the arrival of small boats as part of a wider asylum plan.

Mr Sunak claimed stopping the arrivals was a “priority” for the British people. But Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said Mr Sunak was “deluded” to think the new legislation would reduce the number of small boats as no returns agreements with other countries were in place.

Meanwhile, the BBC's Match of the Day host Gary Lineker described the policy on Twitter as an "immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s".

The BBC, which has impartiality guidelines, said it was having a "frank conversation" with Lineker following his comments.

Arrested 397 out of 80, 000, that's in the past 6 months. That's what I call making a difference 🤣

It is the job of BBC staff to report the news, not to make it.

Since Gary Lineker writes his own ideas on politics, fire him and then arrest him the same as in autocratic governments.

397 arrests! What an achievement. England must be near finished at this point.

Here is the best way to beat the licence fee:-
1.Stop your licence for a month or two.
2.Start your license after that period.
3. Watch all the programs you have missed on iplayer.
4. Repeat the above.

*The people have spoken.*
But Isn't obvious that this government does not speak for the people by the way they reacted.

Gary didn't say anything political on the BBC, he did it on his personal account. Gary literally called out the human rights issues in Qatar world cup on the BBC. Where was the impartially police when he did that?

That doesn't make any sense, That rich men are escaping from an unsafe country, and leaving the women and children to fend for themselves.

Gary Linker has the right to voice his own concerns

Since Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman are descendants of immigrants themselves, notably Rishi with Pakistani and Punjabi descent or Suella with Goan, Mauritian, Kenyan, and Tamil ancestry, they should know better than to show refugees who are immigrating to Great Britain for a better like the door.

That's why Gary Lineker did the right thing in comparing Sunak's policies to Fascism and Nazi-ism.

I honestly expected a far more cruel policy from Sunak.
