Pygmy 20 - HandPan Day Celebration

Two days ago it was the very first Handpan Day, we are celebrating 19 years of this wonderful instrument, 19 years ago the percussionist Reto Weber visited the Swiss Steel Pan makers, and asked them if it would be possible to join Steel Pan with Gatham ( ceramic percussion from India).

From that day on, many people's lives would change, in fact, a silent revolution had begun, a powerful healing tool had been created, an instrument that enchants listeners, and at the same time invites everyone to play with its intuitive character. The Handpan is one of the most inclusive instruments on the record, allowing everyone to play, and discover their musicality, their creative musical power, which is born in each being, because everything is frequency, music!
I feel more than honored but blessed to have come to this path, to have found a purpose that vibrates with my soul, to be aware of the unfolding it affects people's lives.

 Having faced challenges as well as wonderful people to support me was fundamental to my learning and growth so far, today we have a beautiful community that has supported and supported itself over the years, with a collaborative and selfless spirit, for the sake of science and development of the instrument, and it's amazing to see the level we have achieved with the advancements in techniques, and I'm happy to have collaborated a little with this evolution.
Some say we're going back to Steel Pan, back to the complexity of many notes, I don't know if I agree, but I know I'm excited to evolve and keep learning, who knows what awaits us in the future?

In the video, I come up with the idea of ​​how we are intrinsically connected, from the flutter of notes with the flies to our collective consciousness, which evolves and discovers as an organism, a common unity.
