It really shocks me that the use of Bronze only sprung up in a few places before spreading to others. It does make me wonder why it is that places like the Andes, who did have access to Copper and Tin, never developed Bronze Working until far later, during the Incan Empire.

Also, you'd think that the North American natives, who had easy access to some of the purest copper in the world (upper Michigan Peninsula) yet they never really developed it beyond artwork for religious purposes.

I love the earliest civilizations. What they did with Bronze and copper is truly fantastic

Ive heard the civilisations in west africa switched from stone to iron directly without adopting bronze, i think it would be an awesome video subject.

Also copper conducts heat better than lead, which is why I’m sure it was an ancient people’s favorite things! 😂

Very interesting.
And well done
I wonder where they first found copper before they had to mine it.
And the same with tin.
And who came up with the idea of heating copper and then tin
Are there any records of who first did it?

"Lead age" doesn't seem as romantic to me
Especially all of the poison and heavy metal death

Some humans never even made it that far.

Extremely timely and useful information as I am writing some fiction that takes place around the time people stopped using stone. I was completely unaware of the lead step towards copper. Now I can can include that in a later draft.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Listening to atheist try to explain history is like listening to a idiot trying to explain rocket science (aerospace engineering, physics, orbital mechanics) They have no real point of reference.
