For the past 60 days, I replaced my M1 MacBook Air with the newer M2 MacBook Air and I’m ready to talk about the good, the bad and actually, let’s start with the ugly, which is ironic. You see, I actually think this laptop is beautiful - it’s thin, it’s sleek, the display looks great, and I absolutely love this midnight color. It’s a little hard to capture in video, but it has a really nice blue tint to it, and it’s chef’s kiss - a great color - BUT - the fingerprints are another story altogether.

What's up everyone?! I hope this 60 day review of the M2 MacBook Air was helpful. Did I cover what you wanted to know? What else did you want to see or learn about?

I’ve had the midnight color for about a week and honestly the fingerprint stuff is a bit overused. They don’t bother me. I’ll wipe them off. I love the darker colors.

I got this laptop recently as an upgrade from the M1 Air, and I love it, but there are actually a few areas I think it's worse than the M1 Air. I find the speakers sound less wide and sound different depending on the surface the laptop is on and the angle of the screen (they sound especially bad on my lap), where the M1 Air speakers sounded great in all circumstances and shockingly wide.

I also frequently find the notch distracting and I find that I'm frequently wanting more space on the top bar for menu bar icons. I also wish that they didn't make the trackpad shorter and instead just made the function keys half-height. Overall though, it's definitely a better laptop, although probably not a better value per dollar.

I purchased the M2 Macbook Air 512gb with 8gb of RAM in Space Grey for College and honestly I really like it. For everyday use, it handles everything I throw at it with no hiccups whatsoever.

I love my m2 air, as a student and music producer the battery life is great and its been super fast. i do regret not getting the midnight as someone in my class has it and it looks beautiful but same time cant go wrong with silver!

I love my M2. Hardly use it, bought I upgraded from old intel air to the 512GB Air with the student discount so I got a decent deal on it. Mac os updates take a lot of storage so I figured the 512GB would help never have to worry about storage. Ram is not much of an issue for me since I just use web browsing and word

This will definitely be my next laptop! I bought a 2018 MacBook Pro when I first entered college 4 years ago. Now I plan to go to grad school and I think this’ll be a good upgrade. I’ve been hearing nonstop great things about these chips. Great video!

I got the exact same laptop with 16GB ram and 256GB storage and it works great. For work and running a virtual windows machine on top of connected to an external monitor. If you don't have the money for all the upgrades then 16GB RAM should be the only upgrade you make to the base model.

I use that same battery bank it is great to have! I like that they also sell long USBC cables that support 100W charging.

if you are getting 16gb ram and 512gb storage, you might as well buy the Macbook pro 14 since they regularly go on sale for $1599.

I got my M2 Air upgrading from 2016 - MB- Pro. One curious and insane design choice is "Placement of Speakers" near on YouTube videos, I can a noticeable lag between lip-sync and Audio reaching The Idea of having Speakers Fire at you directly was perfect in earlier designs.

You are right about the transparancy issue and the feeling of if you're being short changed, but come on, if you can get a TB3 enclosure that runs faster than the inbuilt, well that's not such a great thing in this day and age.

IMO, this model is perfect for any casual or light user. Apple hit a home run with this model and again with this color(Midnight). By far my favorite MBA and favorite
Mac that I have owned.
