I've played 3/4 (never tried Ruby Destiny) and remember them fondly. It's always sad to see what used to be one of your favourites age poorly but I'm glad this video exists because games like Light Platinum really changed some things for the better after they came out.

I know light platinum was supposed to be getting a gen4/5 styled remake but its still being worked on. I think itd be really cool if some of the older rom hack & fan games got remakes. I made a huge document on moveset changes id do in a hypothetical Uranium remake and it was pretty fun, im might have to finish it since i only have a handful of mons left

Pokemon Glazed is a pokemon game that I remember fondly. So muchh hours poured into it, more than the official games for sure.

Ruby destiny was so fun back in the day. One of my first rom hack. Glazed, ruby destiny, light platinum, reseloute 😌

I remember the days of playing light platinum on my jailbroken ipod touch in like 2012 . the scene has come such a long way. makes me so happy to play all the amazing games this community creates.

Ruby Destiny was never the cleanest but it was goated for the time and still holds a strong place in my heart. The second games lets you play in a mystery dungeon like style, something that was a pioneer back in the day. It’s hard to hear all of this was almost 2 decades ago haha. Reminds me of the rom hack I planned but never started. The final series of battles in ruby destiny to this day are still the hardest fights I’ve ever done.

Glazed is also delightful and so is Snakewood for all of its faults. I’ve been out of the rom hacking scene since like 2014 but it’s wild how far they’ve come. I need to cycle back through and play some of these newer ones that have come out.

Apparently Ruby Destiny had a remake back in 2018, do you have any thoughts on it?
Also funny enough, Glazed is getting a remake by the people who made Prism, as well as one of the original creators
