I mean, this won't stop me from loving Microcenter though. I'm lucky enough to live somewhat close to one (they're like an hour away, but I used to live and work about 20 mins away), and nothing will ever erase my memories of being a nerdy little teenager walking through an entire AISLE dedicated to CASE FANS. It's where I got my custom ethernet cable kit to run wires through my last apartment. It's where I first got to test the Valve Index before buying one, and it's the only store I've ever seen demoing and selling custom-built racing drones instead of typical consumer DJI stuff.

I have too much nostalgia built up in that place 😄

Love my microcenter. I’ve saved hundreds of and hundreds on sim racing that they price well below everyone else. Not to mention open boxes.

The point is that they are a brick and mortar store and they don't want your 4090 bc no one is going to microcenter for used 4090s

I needed a "oil change" on my crazy custom loop pc and they broke everything. Almost 3 years later and I still don't have it back. Microcenter is a part store.

Considering the amount of risk, etc., 1200 is a reasonable offer

Also, no need to sell it to MC for 700. You could probably get a Microcenter employee at the store to give you 1000 if it works

Damn wish I knew they were only willing to trade in for less. They said something to where oh if you get the warranty or whatever you can trade it in and get the next amazing gpu to come out in 2 years or so
