Sumit is still a child himself sometimes. The way he thinks, it doesn’t sound like a grown up man. It’s a ridiculous idea to have a child in this marriage, let alone to have one so his parents will accept him again

People change in ten years. Summit spent his twenties lying to please his parents and the woman he loved. He is now in his thirties and finally figuring out what his wants and needs are. He has his faults but marrying Jenny was him choosing love over the cultural and familial obligations he was raised to believe. He has grown and his desire to love and share the lessons he's learned in life with a child seems like natural progression. This is why large age gap relationships are so hard to make work. She's at a place where she wants to enjoy the rest of her years relaxing while Sumit is coming into his own as a man. She doesn't want him to work or have children when she has first hand experience and fulfillment from those very things. It's not fair to expect him to be up under her then eventually be her caregiver until she passes. If he does that, he will have nothing left once she is gone. I don't think Jenny has thought that far ahead and it seems Sumit has.

Idk if its only me, but I think its perfectly fine for summit to decide that he wants to have kids even though they agreed not to . People are allowed to change their decions. But he should definitely not just do it to make his family happy.

The craziest part to me is that Jenny is even older than Sumit’s parents and he still wants her tj have kids with him. Can you Imagine your significant other being older than your own parents?

If they talked about kids in his 20s duh its possible he'd change his mind by now. He damn near lost his parents for her. Like imagine how isolating that is. Now she wants to move to the US further isolating him. It's okay for him to want a family of his own & be able to give his parents the experience of being Grands (if they aren't already). it's sad seeing him have to defend wanting a kid, he's not even mentioning leaving her to have a kid he's willing to adopt so everybody gets what they want.
