98-99 sideburns deep voice sunglasses $500 shirts, was by far the best version of The Great One

Time to remake this video because now the ROCK IS THE FINAL BOSS!

Hollywood Rock is my personal favorite. He took the time out of busy schedule to put others over, and cut (probably) the greatest heel promo ever.

My favorite version of The Rock was the one leading up to Backlash '99. At the time, he was beginning a unique relationship with the fans with those early sing-a-longs. The promos with the fans, the legendary segments with Austin. Their match at Backlash is still my favorite of theirs. He did the impossible: He went toe to toe with Austin at the height of his popularity and was able to get some fans to root for him. You could sense something special was happening with him. He felt fresh.

2001-2002 was my fav just from a performance standpoint. Rock was much leaner and more elusive in the ring. Also expanded his aerial attack a small bit. But ‘1999-2000 was the apex. Charisma like no other with unmatched crowd control

For some strange reason, I prefer Corporate Rock. With his corporate eyebrow, his corporate elbow, and the big feuds he had with Mankind and Stone Cold. He was the perfect villain, you know, the spoiled boss who although he cheated, you knew well that by himself he fought very well too, and above all, despite being heel, he entertained the millions and millions of Rock fans

Imo you def got it right with the #1 spot. The Rock circa 1999-2002 as The People’d Champion w/ the sideburns, deep and slow voice and the Cuban drug lord 800 dollar Versace shirts worn open/bare chested was The Rock at the peak of his powers.

Hollywood rock is one of the greatest gimmicks ever in wrestling. He is the goat. Nobody can pull off face and heel like him... no one

The way you incorporated every single catchphrase into that closing statement was simply electrifying. Well done. Great video. My personal favorite Rock is people's champion '99 version

I'll always be partial to Corporate Rock. Super charismatic, cocky, condescending and hilarious. Great mix.

Y’all youngins in the comments don’t remember the real Rock. 97-01 Rock was gold every single week and every single PPV

2001-02. He was lean and quick. He cut the bulkiness from 275lbs to 250lbs. My only issues was that he wasn't feuding with Austin enough because of Austin's knee. But he was great in putting over Jericho, Dudleys, APA, RVD, The Un-Americans, Lance Storm and Dupree, Brock, and especially Booker T. His WM18 match with Hogan was phenomenal.

Hollywood Rock hands down one of the best versions. From the theme to his segments. The guy was pretty much at the peak of his career.

“Corporation Rock” Is My All Time Favorite . The “Do You Smell What The Rock Is Cooking?” Theme Music Was Epic.

While most people have Stone Cold as their GOAT. This is why I have the rock. He was great as a FACE AND HEEL and continued to reinvent himself. My 🐐

Corporate Champ, hands down. Cocky, arrogant, hilarious, charismatic, nasty and vicious. The “He’s a millionaire…he’s the WWF Champ…” promo package from Capital Carnage still gives me goosebumps to this day.

HOLLYWOOD ROCK is the version that made me ROCK'S FAN FOR LIFE.

That 3 months spell in 2003 is what told me as kid how cool it is to be a heel & face at same time & how special he is.

I started getting into wrestling in about late 98 and followed
The Great One all the way until about 2002.
It had nothing to do with him, I just grew out of wrestling.
The thing about Rock is, I never noticed the transitions.
Watching them displayed here it's easy to spot but to me even after I stopped watching, seeing him return always put a smile on my face. It's all 9 as a whole for me.
