Steam Turbine

Показать описание
A low pressure steam turbine called a Paxton Turbine. It can operate at full load at a pressure of 200 Kpa therefore it can be fitted to any steam circuit and produce process power. It can be fuelled by solar thermal, coal, gas, biomass, synthesis gas, geothermal, bunker oil or any other fuel or thermal source.

I am a retired navy Gas Turbine Systems Mechanic, with a specialty in fuel, oil, and boiler waters systems. And I approve of this message. lol

I have a similar project going and it works good, used it late this winter during a power outage for 14 hours, "Off Grid Wood to Electricity Cogeneration System", I play with it and test the boiler using different engines and generators when I burn our garbage. Funny comments about blowing up and all from viewers that no doubt have not built or ever seen live steam. Good work, thanks for posting.

Yep that’s quite controllable, really interests me this idea of steam pressure creating electricity, Great idea not a novelty but still I think it’s slipped under the radar a bit and needs thinking about

This is what I have powering my home and blacksmithing and welding shop. I have a biogas plant to make the gas to boil the water and that's how work

Nice, I dream to have one for my Biomass electric generator.

I had to turn off my computer before it blew up!

I was wondering why there was a turbine sound when I paused the video, so I took my earphones off and realized it was my laptop fan :D

Where could I buy a steam turbine like that?

I love the small factor of this turbine !!!! Can we have a price tag for the turbine ? Does it come as a whole with the tank, the generator and the turbine ? We need more informations !!!!

Is there any pictures or videos of this taken apart? I’m a journeyman millwright by trade and I’m looking to build something like this

Just curious honestly, but doesnt anyone ever just use an actual external combustion steam generator instead of these boilers? Im talking about Abner Doble steam generator design. Considering it only heats up a quart or 2 of water at a time producing 700-800 degrees of super heated steam with very little energy loss continually.

I'm guessing the generator was dumping into a heater element in that insulated tank next to it?

What does the blade that is running this turbine look like?

Hello guys, I have an idea that just popped into my head. What if I use the sun power to boil water to create steam. I am not an engineer and have no idea about this, but I saw a solar kitchen that uses the sun to generate froM 100 to 1000 Celsius. What if I use this same technology to heat water and use the steam to generate electricity?

This is a wet steam turbine? What steam temperature is required and how many kW output can it give?

Dont you mean Pelton turbine?
I cant find much info about Paxton turbine besides the paxton car.

Hello! I have been watching your test videos of the Tesla turbine and I'm interested in knowing more about them and running tests myself. I am wondering if the Tesla turbines are for sale and where I could order them from? I'm looking to operate the turbine at 800-1500 rpm with an output power of 20kW, would you know the required turbine size, pressure, and mass flow of steam in order to achieve that?

If you would know a trusted retailer that can deliver one of these turbines to Sweden or if you know someone who might help me with this matter further, please get back to me!
