Joan Rivers was a self-made success and one of the hardest working people in show business. I sent her a fan letter when she had her daytime talk show and she responded. I still have the letter and envelope with "The Joan Rivers Show" logo on it. I was later lucky enough to meet her and get an autographed photo as well, which I still have. On stage she had a vicious tongue (which we loved) but in real-life she was so kind to her fans and seemed so appreciative. RIP LEGEND!
P.S. The signature on the letter and the signature on the photo which I watched her sign years later are the same, so I know that she actually touched and signed both.

if we are all being real and I LOVE MELISSA RIVERS she definitely was one of the first people who were famous just for being the child of a celebrity without being an actor or musician. definitely the first famous for being famous person wayyyy before the Kardashians or the Hilton sisters ever did it!!! I love Melissa though!!!
