Times have changed a lot. Even the way we tell time has changed. When Jimmy was a kid they learned how to tell time in school which made him wonder if young people even know how to read a clock anymore. So we went out on the street to ask people to tell us what time it is using an old analog clock in a new edition of #CanYouDoIt?

Clocks still exist though in public spaces, homes and schools. It’s not like they’re no longer in use

I don't think you could find a single person in Switzerland that can't read a clock... My 4yo nephew can.. Seriously...

I'm 17 and I'm making and selling my own homemade clocks. I didn't realize how many people couldn't read a clock. I have a friend who can't either. The best thing to do is to teach them so that they would know for next time. Each number equals 5 minutes. The lines between represents one minute. The short hand is the hour hand. The long hand is the minute hand. The thin hand is the second hand. They'll learn if you teach them, not male fun of them. We never know someone's situation.

Where the hell did you find these people? People still wear analog watches on their hands, you know. This is not an ancient thing lol

The best part of this video is that it starts at 9:46 AM and ends at 6:48 PM. Love to see how many young people they had to ask to get the 5 who gave the answers they wanted.

This is not reflection of millennials but a reflection of the education system

As a high schooler I can confirm that this is perfectly accurate.

I like watching vids that make me feel like a genius. But this is really sad...very painful to watch adults who went to college getting confused by a clock.

This is a bit too much. I think we'll still be able to read traditional clocks.

My 13-year old definitely cannot tell time using an analog clock. They taught it once in each elementary grade (K-5) for a literal week. That's it. They also no longer teach cursive in schools so a "signature" isn't anything different than a printed name. The world has changed.

The trick to reading a clock is not reading, but recognising. You train your brain to recognise what a certain time looks like. A great way to do this is to have one next to your tv and get to know what the clock looks like when your shows are about to start. Eventually reading a clock becomes like recognising a face.
