#1 tip, eliminating as many things (dust catchers) and furniture (flat) surfaces will dramatically reduce the time it takes to dust your home. Love, Minimalism

I’m dust allergic ! So I use the vacuum with brush attachment first then if needed wipe with a damp microfibre :) if there’s a lot of dust then I wear a mask too..xx

Can you give us your cleaning schedule? Like what you do daily, weekly and monthly and possibly yearly?

I’ve been following your channel for a few years now & have found you give the most practical cleaning advice without excessive cleaning products. So many others push (and are likely paid for) promoting an excessive amount of products. But I’ve learned from following you that simple is better! For dusting, I’ve been using uses dryer sheets. Even with already being used in the dryer, it retains a great ability to grab & cling to dust!

I was a swiffer duster til I started watching your channel. I have converted all cleaning clothes to microfiber, and yes, it is so much cleaner. I have 2 small dogs, and both shed so thanks to this video on vacuum, dust then vacuum again, is brilliant. Living in Arizona, not only do we have tons of dust filtering in but with the dog hair too, very overwhelming. Your channel has helped me so much with basic cleaning. Thank you.

When I was younger I actually put Pine-Sol and water in a bowl and cleaned the furniture with that. As I have gotten older I thought I would try the Swiffer Duster. I really liked them in the beginning. Then I realized the dust resettled back onto the surface. So back to Pledge like products. Then I found YOU!!!😊 I love microfiber cloths. They clean anything and everything. I also love your DIY products. I have shared them with my daughter and my daughter in law. They love them too. Thanks Melissa!

I had a student once who made the distinction between "Looks Clean" and "Is Clean". For "Looks Clean" I use a feather duster because it's easy and fast. For "Is Clean" I use microfiber because it works better.

I bought my first microfibre cloths from Makers Clean about 11/2 ago, what a game changer! I had tried cheaply versions first and I’m never going back. They work so well it was really kind of unbelievable. So much more efficient. Thank you for a great product.

At the beginning of each month I do a full deep dusting with micro cloth. The rest of the month each week, I use a Swiffer 360 to maintain . This saves huge amount of time. Only takes 15-20 mins each weak to maintain

2 questions. Does each room get a separate cloth or when do you shake it? Then, how do you transport this dust filled cloth to the trash or outside to shake it? Put it in a bag so dust is not strewn through the house on the way to outside or whereever it ends up? Well, 4 questions. Do you wash your microfiber cloths?

I use feather dusters, but stopped and use swifter. I was going to switch to microfiber, but I am going to start using the microfiber now. I love how you explain everything. Taking everything off to dust makes a lot a sense. It will make cleaning a lot faster. I love this video and I am a new subscriber! Thank you for posting this.

I love my Swiffer with the extended handle for ceiling fans and the space between tall furniture and the wall. Everything else I use a microfiber cloth to dust with.

We have two cats and hair is crazy on our laminate floors. Instead of vacuuming before I dust I will use the pet swifter all around the edges, then moving into the centre to remove majority of the hair. Then I clean/dust and vacuum at the end. I find it works for my situation.

The humidity in Florida makes dust stick to furniture, ceiling fans and baseboards. It needs to be double dusted, just as you discussed.
A tip for microfiber cloths and the film on car windows: wipe the inside with a clean (no fabric softener) cloth. It may take a couple of cloths, but the microfiber removes the film. Using a window cleaner just smears it around. After wiping, the windows look great and don’t need to be washed.

Excellent video. Clear, simple, and good video. Never feather duster, always microfiber (Maker's Clean, of course).

Both. Feather dusters make dusting fun and with toddlers they love it.

I use the microfiber cloths now and it has really changed my cleaning. I think I use to just push the dust around. Thanks for the tips, they work! 😊
