I appreciate that Jean-Luc Godard paid homage to High Sierra (1941) by Raoul Walsh, in the ending. It's the Humphrey Bogart film noir that meshes perfectly with Breathless as a double-feature.

Breathless was a filmic breath of Fresh air .

I saw this when I was I think 19 or 20 - basically in college- and watching this film on a New Years Eve was like probably experiencing Jackson Pollack's work when all you have seen in terms of paintings are portraiture and landscapes .

Billy Friedkin givin' it up for "Breathless" and "Weekend"?
Sorely, sorely missed.
(I mean, I miss him as much as I could possibly miss Godard--- maybe more...)

The Richard Gere American remake wasn't great, but his co-star awakened things in me.

The look alone made everything else look 'tired'.

I’m sorry… What was that?… The editor of this video just cut to another scene.

I love most of Godard's stuff, but I've never really liked "Breathless." Jump cuts? Short scenes? I get how it was a stylistic influence. Okay...but is the movie really GOOD?
