The most underrated Fincher's film. I keep watching it and every time, I get strangled in the 1st second with the credit and cry at the end.

1) Michael Douglas' excellent performance.
2) The atmosphere, shaped by Fincher's direction, the great screenplay, and the score, which is my personal favourite from Howard Shore.
3) Being an adrenaline-thrill ride from start to finish.

2) The impeccable visual storytelling (actually "a whole cinematic school" in each and every frame and editing strategy
3) The constant twist, not necessarily for the ending, but the entire experience

Amazing film. I don't know why people are at odds over this film. In my mind it's Fincher's best. Granted it's a little more understated then some of his bigger movies. But I really adore this movie.

Such a mediocre film. That "twist" only killed and buried it on top of that, sadly. Tried to like it but just couldn't for the life of me. Worst Criterion release in a long time
