Having lived a very long life, and hearing so much about murder cases over the years, I have to say this one is worrisome. It took many years to catch Ted Bundy, and others like him. I hope this one is caught soon, as they are not finished.

It's truly weird how stuff like this still happens in a technologically advanced era. Like seriously there's 0 leads now?? No strange messages, no snapchat videos of the night, no geo tracking, none of the neighbors had security cameras, or even street light security cameras, no finger prints, no foot prints. There's so much technology on our side, it's unfortunate that it's this hard.

I heard that three weeks before the murders, someone who lives three miles away from the victims’ house found his dog to be skinned alive. I wonder if the murderer was the same one who did that?

it does not show she was alive at that time, anyone can dial a number on a phone

8 days later and they don't even have a person of interest. If it was someone they knew, or someone with a grudge, there would have been an indication of this by now. There would have been texts, calls, social media posts, local gossip, talk among friends, someone they could point to as a suspect. The fact that they still don't have anyone to match that tells me this is not someone they knew.

At the press conference, they didn't say that they don't have a suspect. They said "we don't have a suspect in custody." Just thought it was kind of a weird way to say it.

Who said that the girls called the ex boyfriend? maybe he used their phones to call his own number and he left his phone at home to remove suspicions.

Whoever the killer is, you can believe they will be around the crime scenes, vigils and funerals. They have a narcissistic way of embedding themselves in the investigation to see their handy work.

The ex knew the house, knew the dynamics of all people, separated from Kaylee two weeks prior. Come on people

Here are a couple of (I think) very obvious and important questions: 1) Where is the dog and where was it at the time of the murders? 2)What kind of "young person" or "student" arrives at a friend's house without his/her phone? In this day and age? Especially after actually being called (apparently) to come over to render aid? I'm 70 years old and even I always have my phone on me. So that person, whoever it is, moves to the top of my suspect list.

The things the public should know and have the right to know is: 1. Is there a homicidal maniac on the loose in the community or not 2. Descriptive details if they come up that may help locate the threat (car, clothing, physical description if known). I was peeved initially when for 2 days they wouldn't even tell the public if there was a killer on the loose or not. That wasn't ok. They needed to have said day 1, these were homicides, we have no suspect in custody, exercise caution etc Beyond that it's up to them what to say.

That entire street is outfitted with security cameras. All you gotta do is check them. Go door to door.

There was an article that I read today about a woman whose dog was skinned. They found it on their property a couple weeks ago and it's about 5 mi from where this incident occurred.

No one is mentioning that it was mentioned that Kaylee mentioned a stalker she mentioned a few months earlier

How gross to think people are like that

i’ve heard this case discussed from the viewpoints of varying analysts (fbi, criminologist, psychologist), and everything is pointing in the direction of a serial killer. the potential fantasies of bloodletting, torturing animals, near textbook alignment with one of ted bundy’s most notorious crime scenes, and potential for this person to be outside the victims’ immediate social circle. it’s always possible for it to have been one of their estranged lovers or roommates, but considering the police are still on the hunt the public should take extra precautions during these times.

People have to realize that just because, the mother says she does not believe the young man is a killer does not mean that he’s not. You can’t tell a murderer by looking at them. Also, he could have left his phone at home or taken the indicated phone and made the calls from it to his phone. Anything could have happened with the phone information. The police do not really know the timeframe or what truly happened is clear here. They need to stop talking until the investigation is complete and they actually know valid information. Rest In Peace to the murdered young adults and prayers for strength to their individual family and friends during this difficult time.

These guys have zero experience. Last ONE murder 7 years ago. Police 1st radio calls said it was a murder/suicide. They stopped alert on campus in 1 hour. They spent 3 days hiding from public. Another 3 w ever changing stories. 4 hours after yesterday's conference they essentially told us that they let kids, friends who knows who traipsing all over the place for the 1st hour they were there. Never requested Patrol K9, nor Bloodhound w scent up to 5 days.

You only get 1 first chance not to screw up. Hopefully it gets solved, but it won't be by DNA anytime soon.
