I met Roger in San Antonio. He was the realest most down to earth, nicest, sweetest, finest man I've ever met. I had the rare opportunity to sit with him at a Zapp Band after party and have a real conversation with him. I will never ever get over losing him. God rest your beautiful soul Roger.

I met Roger at a concert in 1982 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was so down to earth. We conversed about fifteen minutes, and I will never forget our conversation. We took pictures and I'll never forget how soft his body was. That man was fine as wine. He made an impression on me like no other. I was heartbroken hearing the news that he was killed. Rest in paradise King of Talk Box. I will never forget you.
