An overview of how to talk about years in Russian: how to name a year, and how to say when something happened 'in' a given year.

We'll cover when you need cardinal numbers like 'twelve' or 'ninety,' when you need ordinals like 'twelfth' and 'ninetieth,' and a few tricky points of some ordinal numbers.

An outstanding and marvellous channel. This channel has helped me a lot, especially distinguishing the soft and hard sounds. Very sad that it is not getting enough views and subscribers.

I also find you have chosen very important three years in modern Russian History. Very considerate choice.
1917 - Russian Revolution
1945 - Victory of WW2
1991 - The fall of USSR

Great video! I'm learning Russian myself and was wondering if you could post a video showing the difference between тоже и ещё. I'm confused as to which one to use as they both mean "also/too".

Случайный русский комментарий.
Я не соглашусь с автором в том, что, при быстром произношении, "девятьсот" произносится как "дитсот". Я больше склоняюсь к варианту "диитсот", так как хоть "вя" и сокращается, но из слова не пропадает.

How do you expect anyone to learn when you say the Russian year so quickly? What a hassel just to say the year😢
