Balancing the ball on a plank using OpenCV, Python, and Arduino.

I used Arduino to control the servo motor.
The video from the webcam is processed in the laptop using OpenCV and python.
The relative position of the ball from the center position is tracked and is accordingly fed into the PID algorithm and then a signal is sent to Arduino over the serial port to move the servo to prevent the ball from falling.

so how exactly you do it? i am confused, why you have the arduino and the python code, how to load the code into the board?

I like that camera stuff hmmmm .... maybe I could implement that in one of my own controllers :-) Great thing !

I did a 2D gimballed plate in 1990 using a PAL camera and analog electronics to get the ball centroid. How have you gone trying to move the ball to a setpoint position?
