Context: he stood on a can for more than 48 hours and he didnt know it yet. The man he was talking too had a daughter that died on the exact mine. Her spirit came to see him but he never knew that she was actaully dead. She saved him for actaully dying on that exact mine but placed a thin can to cover it but he never knew.

For those who don't know the soldier didn't stepped on a mine he stepped on a kids toy that he thought was mine

Spoiler Alert: in this movie they are in the army fighting and the guy shown on the screen see a sign that says something about mines. His friend doesn’t believe it and ignores the sign and right that second he steps on a mine. His legs are dismembered but he was still alive. He tries to help him but he says “it’s ok, let me go” and then he takes his life. Then right after the guy showed on the screen stepped on a mine. He quickly realizes and knows that if he moves his foot it’s all over and he won’t be able to make it home. He stands on the mine without moving his feet for a week and on the 3rd day of that week he has to fight wolfs and on that morning he meets a girl. The girl doesn’t speak to him and just runs back. He realized something about the girl and how she walks, she walks in a zig zag line to not step on of the mines. Then little girls dad comes on the 4th day(the other guy in the video) comes in and tells him to move because he replaced most of the mines with his little girl who died trying to disarm one of the mines. After the last day on the week he decides to move his foot and when he does he doesn’t die. He starts to cry from joy and sadness and he makes it home but without his friend who sadly died. Anybody wandering, He stepped on a fake mine and it was actually a can. There was a father and son from the nearest village who sought out mines in the desert and replaced them with empty food cans. While his buddy was unlucky, he got lucky and stepped on a can.
