The FIFA World Cup happens every 4 years and each time a new country gets the honor to host the tournament, but some countries don't want anything to do with the World Cup! This year the country hosting it is Qatar 2022. Also remember that even when Brazil, a soccer fanatic nation, hosted the World Cup in 2014, the public was told that all the money generated from the tournament would help the country economically. But a year before the tournament happened, when people saw the amount of money spent for the World Cup, people saw that the promises they were told weren’t happening and that led to massive protests in the streets.

The solution is easier as you think. It can be organized by several countries, so the countries should not spend too much and build extra stadiums. European Cup matches held in several countries.

So much missed/wrong (TL:DR - The World Cup is broken because FIFA is corrupt)
1. The countries that competed against Qatar for the World Cup (USA, South Korea, Japan and Australia) all already had suitable stadiums as big or bigger than Qatar. (At least 11 members of the FIFA executive committee didn't care about this)
2. While Israel isn't featuring in this World Cup, Iran is. So to are Saudi Arabia and the host Qatar these are 3 nations that have a history of friction. Oh and the USA played Iran not a lot of BFF there.
3. It would be easy to move the World Cup last minute. The list of countries that already have football stadiums that would match Qatar is not small. UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Mexico... and the 4 other nations that bid against Qatar, for starters. (FIFA didn't care about this)
4. The World Cup is not by a City but by a Country.
5. Brazil built stadiums in the middle of no where to for the 2014 World cup.
6. Hosting the World Cup actually still makes a lot of sense to many developed counties that have large sports stadiums.
7. Finally, the whole premise of this video is wrong. Unlike the Olympics which due to the number of sports and the requirement to host them all in the same city it's almost impossible for it to make financial sense, the World Cup is still a great prize that many countries want.

Why is the World Cup in random countries? Because FIFA is one of the most corrupt organizations in the world!!!

You have presumed a lack of want in contravention of the facts. The justification presented is then tortured.

The reason that the World Cup is in Qatar is because around a dozen people went from being a little bit rich to very rich. NO MORE NO LESS!

Something tells me that At&T Stadium, MetLife Stadium, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Lincoln Financial Field, Gillette Stadium, Hard Rock Stadium, Arrowhead Stadium, NRG Stadium, Lumen Field, Levi's Stadium, and SoFi Stadium. Will have absolutely no problem finding games to host after the 2026 world cup

Most don't know this but the USA is the backup location if the World Cup is in the summer. Because it has huge stadiums not in use in June/July. It's similar to how the NCAA locks up Indianapolis as an emergency backup for March Madness. But since this is in the fall, A group of European countries would have had to take on a last minute change.

Yea, there were only a few other countries besides Qatar who wanted to host the 2022 World cup, only: Australia, Japan, South Korea and the USA
Also Mexico and Indonesia wanted to host, but withdrew their bid for different reasons.

I'm about halfway thru but this video makes it seem that nobody wanted to host this world cup and Qatar stepped up. The US very much wanted to host the world cup, and we're shocked and disappointed when Qatar "won" it.

Actually there were a few countries in the bid to host the 2022 World Cup. Along with Qatar, you had the United States, Australia, Japan and South Korea (Japan and South Korea were bidding to host the tournament on their own as opposed to when they co-hosted back in 2002). Either one of these countries would have been a better choice. If Australia won the bid, it would have been like USA 1994, where the tournament helped grow the sport in that country.

We already have international tournaments between World Cups. We have the European Championships, Copa America, CONCACAF Gold Cup, African Cup of Nations and the Asian Cup.

World Cups and Olympic Games should be shared by multiple countries. This way, more countries can profit and they don't have to spend precious funds for senseless huge building projects.
