Here is the much requested Disney Villainous Ranking! I go through the games 18 current villains and rank them on least to most powerful! And my least to most favorite. Enjoy!

I love playing Mother Gothel BECAUSE she’s so complicated and you hardly ever win, but when you do…. Oh it’s so sweet! Disney Villianous basically kept me and my husband going throughout lockdown, and probably I’m a bit more strategic and good at these games than he is, and I didn’t want to win all the time because then he wouldn’t want to play, so playing Mama G meant that he had a much better chance of beating me. It was like a golf handicap, so I recommend her if you like a challenge and know you’re playing someone who’s less good at the game than you - like someone much younger. Or my husband.

I love villainous. Even though the villains aren’t perfectly balanced, that’s actually what makes the game fun. The game organically balances out if you’re playing with more than two players because people will fate the stronger villains more.

I love that you ranked both the strongest and your personal faves! It really goes to show that there is a villain in this game for just about any player. My personal fave is Jafar, I think he's wonerfully thematic and if you're able to win with him you certainly feel like a Machiavellian genius!

I've always thought there was something beautiful about the choices the designers made for The Queen of Hearts.
Like every villain has some dastardly scheme like kill someone, skin puppies, increase taxes, take over some place... but here's little Queenie, and she wants to win her game of Croquet, in fact her character is villainous all the way around except for this one happy goal.
I find this both hilarious and mad, and that's exactly how I play her.

I think that Ratigan is the best designed character in the game, thematically and mechanically he just clicks in a way I don't feel like any other character does. Even if he isn't people's favorite I do feel like from a game design angle Ratigan just functions the best.

Love the Ursula hype! Even with other characters with their other gimmicks I think she's probably the weirdest character design in the game, and being in the base set is impressive they came up with it. I think she would be better if she had a play card action at the Palace but I like seeing the new take on Ursula

Love Captain Hook. He's my go to for teaching the game to others, as he uses pretty much every mechanic well.

Glad to see my boy Ratigan so high on the power rankings. I love how if you set it up right you can put your opponents in a catch-22 situation where they find or move Basil to destroy the queen the turn before you win you can just swoop in and vanquish him with Felicia for the victory. Ofc this requires time to set up but I find it's pretty easy to fly under the radar in a 3+ player game as Ratigan since how close you are to winning isn't open information, aside from the amount of power, gears, etc. you have, which isn't a guarantee that you even have the queen in hand in the first place. (My friend who's played Facilier - I haven't yet - cites him as being good for a similar reason - how close you are to winning isn't open knowledge)

The Horned King is my other favorite but I'd generally agree with him being middle of the pack from what I've seen. Not the fastest, and while much of his fate deck is pretty mild the cards that mess you up can really mess you up.

Yzma is next on my list of villains to play. I only got the game last month so it's mostly just been me trying to git gud at Ratigan since I know I like his playstyle.

My favorite character in the game is Pete because he has my three favorite things for a card game: great artwork, random objectives that changes how I play every game, and cards that synergies well with each other. It’s super satisfying playing card combos and it feels like there is always 10 different decisions I can make each turn,

IVE WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS! Seriously-i liveeee for ranking videos and so stoked you did one for disney villainous! (despite me not having the game still hahah!) don't want to spoil anyone but lots of these definitely caught me by surprise and it looks like i knew who i'm going for to match my aggressive fast gameplay style 😂😂😂 thanks for this one sam! would love to see you do one for marvel in the future~

IMO Yzma is the most fun character in the game to play. it REALLY feels like you are looking for kusco, and it makes you have a very fun experience

Love to see you finally did a ranking! I think it'd be cool to see you rank them thematically next!
Personally, I would put Gaston as the lowest thematically, it doesn't feel like there's any connection between the movie and what you're doing with the character.
Glad that most of my favorites are high on your list though, Dr. Facilier, Evil Queen, Ratigan, Queen of Hearts. I've also got Pete and Lady Tremaine up there.

My biggest Disagreement is Pete. If you play your cards right he can be really good because you can be working on multiple goals at once. And when people are focused on other players you can come out and complete 2 goals and when people finally start to notice you it is to late, Pete is 6th on my best to worst list and 2nd on my personal enjoyment list. Even though I agree with your placing with Cruella on your best to worst list, she is actually 1st on my personal enjoyment list. Because she is such a well designed character and even though you don't win much with her in group settings when you do it is so sweet. she is such a fun puzzle to play and I have gotten quite good with her.
