The Chuck Cocoma Judge & GTO Ram Air IV Collection // Mecum Kissimmee 2023 // Jan. 4-15

My life is pretty well centered around the GTO,” collector Chuck Cocoma said, and that is far from an understatement. The owner of an unfathomable nine of the rarest GTOs in existence—those of the Ram Air IV variety—Cocoma has been working on his assemblage of classic muscle cars for more than 40 years and has been piloting some variation of the venerable Goat since 1965. His passion for The Great One knows few, if any, limits, and as the etymology of the word passion (which originally meant to suffer) might imply, he’s willing to do just about whatever it takes to ensure his GTOs are the best they can be. While seeking out, restoring and caring for these cars has been a main focus of Cocoma’s long and full life, he’s ready now to put the punctuation mark at the end of this personal era by offering them at auction this January in Kissimmee at the world’s largest collector car auction. The unprecedented offering will constitute one of the rarest and most thrilling opportunities in muscle car-collecting history, as a selection of this combined significance and scarcity becoming available for purchase is about as uncommon as striking oil.

I commend Mr. Chuck for his long focus goal. Not many folks could do what he has. The GTO RAM AIR IV is a sexy & powerful muscle car, i have always favored performance cammed high cubic inch GTO:s.

High school years PONTIAC GTO was styled above the rest. Engines were powerful. Automatic transmission was not a slush box. Shift program, heavy duty clutch bands, healthy torque converter coupling. Aggressive response easily smoked the rear tires. Everybody squealed out, just having fun, show'n off.
Granis Tourismo Omogloto
Grand Prix too.
Window sticker listed options long as your arm.

There is a Judge in Amarillo Texas that may see the light of day someday.

Super Cool
And then there is the mysterious often rumored RAM Air 5. I have personally read the design spec documents but have never laid eyes on one.

Wow, wow, wow! What a beautiful collection of classic American muscle cars! It’s got to be heartbreaking to part with these beauty’s. For me, it would be an honor to own one. 🇺🇸👍🇺🇸

If someone is interested in buying and restoring the yellow GTO convertible without the tach on the hood. But is convertible with black top and black interior automatic with the 400 engine and trans. 4 barrel carb. It's rusting to hell somewhere in Puerto Rico RIGHT NOW. my dad was the second owner. Bought it in 1972. Lost it in the late 1990's. I have pictures of it. It is repainted red now. Yeah I know that sucks. But it's out there in Puerto Rico RIGHT NOW.

It must be nice to have the money to be able to afford a collection like this!! At this point in my life, I'm retired and on a fixed income!!
However, I do wish that I still had my '66 GTO that I bought brand new and enjoyed for five months before I went to Vietnam!! 6:38

I'm not a huge Pontiac guy but I still remember seeing a Ram Air IV Judge convertible at a show back around 91-92ish. My memory must be slightly off as I recalled it being one of 9 built but watching Chuck's cross the block they said there were only 7. I still feel lucky to have seen it.

That show was also the first time I saw a Superbird but I've seen others since then.

I'd do a huge burnout right out the auction doors if I won one. No trailers.

We had a '69 GTO purchased new. It was a RA III/automatic with an in-dash tach. That was a great car but not quite as special as a RA IV with a Muncie and a hood tach.
