I can't see why Argos would be in trouble or held responsible. There is thousands of products in that catalogue so what are they supposed to do, destroy all the catalogues or withhold them from display? DJI are not the only manufacturer they deal with and if they expected the DJI announcement on the 18th July then it is DJI's problem for not going ahead.

Much better quality video, thanks! I've been waiting since February and wishing I had just bought a Mavic Air the last few months. Interesting that it doesn't include pricing, almost like Argos knew they were going to publish before it was properly released. Other than the exposure this will get them, the listing is actually quite pointless until it's in stock and a price is with it.

Hassleblad will be the one to go for with the 1 inch sensor there will also be big improvements to both video and photos but also more movie shooting modes to especially in 4k formats.

It's very possible dji did not let argos know that the launch date had been postponed, after all, as far as argos were aware it has already been released on the 18th july! These things are printed weeks in advance so they are on the shelves when products launch! Argos will be unaware as they just sell goods, they will not be drone experts.

Well spotted, thanks. The 1 inch sensor is the main selling point for me, and may be just enough to empty my bank balance a bit, well actually probably a lot.

On all those catalogue dealers DJI will be in some sort of (minor) financial trouble anyway.
Because
a) as a manufacturer (or official country distributor of a brand) you really have to pay for placement of "full page listings" on all those catalogues and flyers (even those which end up as junk in consumer's letterboxes), you will not get that for 1kGBP on a nation wide cataloge, more the factor of 10 or 20, at best.
b) if you are in a catalogue you have to subscribe for a certain quantity of units at "catalogue start date" (perhaps a week before for convenient distribution to the outlets). if you do not meet that delivery goal, you will be faced with peanalties for every day of delay. The reasoning is "customers are coming to the shops based on the catalogue and will be disappointed not by the manufacturer, but as well by the shop not beeing able to fulfil the promise". And that can be 10k per day as well....

I am more interested in the major flaw that is causing this delay. Am hoping is not another faulty gimbal/camera the original Mavic

I knew it will happen like this haha my story is that I didn't want to buy drone till they release Mavic kind of drone with 1 inch senzor cause I need portable drone for photography, not video. And I've been waiting all these years patiently and recently got a big job which also required a drone shots. I was forced to buy Mavic Pro at the end of its lifetime, after all that waiting, and now 10 days later here comes the drone I've been waiting for, the one with 1inch sensor and Hasseblad camera omg 😍😍😂😂 yeah, I will sell this one and buy Mavic 2 eventually but I could've had it for 2 years now, this way I lost 2 years of photos and experience and money in the last minute of the game. Well, what can you do, I'm glad to finally see what I've been waiting for!
