The job of Republicans is not to "fight against Democrats" but to work for the best of the people of America. If a reasonable compromise can be attained with the party that about half of America voted for, then that's what should be done. Work with the issues. Yes, compromise is rarely comfortable with both parties, but it's something our "leaders" and I use that term loosely, have lost all ability to do.
