This is my list of the Top 5 (+1 honorable mention) best overall value pickleball paddles. If you the bet bang for your buck, these are the paddles for you!

*and minor correction, like usual... After adding 3g of lead tape at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, as mentioned in the video, twist weight went from 6.13 to 6.65, not to 6.15.. words can be hard! 😅

Let me know what you think of this list in the comments, or if there are other paddles you think deserve consideration!

Hello, I’d like to know if you can recommend an absorbent paddle for use during very cold outdoor play using the Selkirk S1 ball. During the winter time our club members play outdoors at temperatures well below 50°F. We are also at nearly 3000 foot elevation. We use the Selkirk ball because it is one of the only balls that does not crack quickly in the cold. In fact, we have yet to break one. I’m currently using a Honolulu SWORD & SHIELD J2Ti, but it is just too easy to hit the ball long at low outdoor temperatures. Yesterday evening I literally reverted back to my Paddletek Tempest Wave circa 2017. It played a lot better in the cold. Any recommendations you have will be greatly appreciated. Vince

I have a Vatic Prism Flash and like it a lot. Gives me great control and power. I will need to check out the Neonic flow. Are they similar?

Great review. Vatic's Prisms series has been out for longer than your group but I still consider it a top 5 value paddle.

Great review. My buddy has a Spartus Apollo and swears by it.
Also just bought (the now) discontinued Neonic Flare Prime CTRL.
Looking forward to seeing what it can do. Heard great things about the company.

you can currently get a factory second spartus apollo for $65 if you sign up to be an ambassador. I think this beats out any other paddle in terms of value. I’ve ordered 2 of them for friends and despite being factory seconds, the paddles are absolutely pristine; the only flaw being a tiny dent in the edge guard that is so small it looks like it was caused by a needle.

I don't think I have seen a Vatic Pro paddle review? How does it compare? Which kind of players would prefer the Vatic Pro?

I have the force is it worth getting the flow? Or the J2k?

The J2K is my current main paddle and I'm loving it. Two paddles before that was the Neonic Flow which would have been my favorite paddle of all time to date, but it caused me to develop a bad case of bicep tendonitis requiring me to take two weeks off. Gave it to my brother-in-law and he hasn't expressed any issues. 🤷‍♂

Didn’t seem like the flow had more pop than the J2K for me. Also, Apollo is talked about as having a lot of pop, but I haven’t tried it. J2K has been the perfect paddle for me. More than enough power and pop while maintaining amazing control.

My drops were falling short using the Mage 2, so I kept going back to the Viva 3. Love the Mage 2 shape and composition though. The Apollo looks so good too. I think Hudef will come out with an Apex 2 this fall, and boost their standing on the widebody market. Nice vid

Just won gold with the Flow after trying it out only 2 days before a pretty sizable 4.0 tournament. That thing just gives you so much confidence in the soft game- exactly what you need for under pressure situation. Oh yeah, and its at a great price!!

Interesting how you compared it with the J2K however.... I actually found the pop on the J2K to be a bit higher than the Flow, and prefer the Flow since it gives you more margin for error on popping the ball up

How do you like the Dunamis so far? I assume there will be a review soon, but looking forward to trying mine out when it gets here!

I can't tell. If I read your review and buy one, how would I know if it worked for me?

What I have not been able to find is a top 5 all court paddle video. I find a lot of videos on power and control.

Why do you like the engage pursuit pro1 so much? Also, do you use the 16mm?
