Something easily missed in Plato's Republic is that education is the cornerstone to a functioning society. A well educated ANYTHING works better and has fewer requirement than almost anything else. We could have a constitutional, hereditary, monarchy that works great as long as everyone is well educated. The opposite is also true as we are seeing in the modern day, a poorly educated democracy goes south quickly.

We are lucky enough to find the republic underneath the republic underneath Plato's academy in Athens. The current mayor of Athens is going to make excavations to reveal it

Plato's 3 ideal states were excellent, although at this point there are 12-15. With that said, though there looks to be low awareness of this at this time there has been less emphasis on the 3rd world despots and now more emphasis on BUSINESS
