Aristotle did not believe in democracy where people ruled themselves. His ideal state was an aristocracy (named after himself), where people indeed ruled over others, but on the basis of non-democratic merit. In a sense, anyone could become a ruler so long as they could demonstrate their abilities in philosophy and other disciplines, and could also demonstrate their book knowledge to an applied15 year trial of rulership.

There is a distinct bias in this video that is easily detected by the tone of voice and inflections used to describe Plato’s beliefs compared to those used in describing the beliefs of Aristotle.

The differences could be explain by the work started by Carl Jung and the others. This could be explain having different personality types, with each having different set of cognitive functions, thus they have different ways of perceiving and judging the world/self.

Aristotle believed in equality and fairness? He thought women were inferior to their husbands due to their lack of authority and justified slavery by saying some people are just meant by their very nature to be subjugated, that slaves lacked reason and therefore to be under rhe control of a master was the best and proper thing.
