The cup that was converted into a stand cannot be called a TRIPOD since it doesn't have 3 legs. After the cutout it looked like it could have been called a BIPOD but the 2 "legs" actually supported the phone. So since it only has one leg should it be called an IPOD?

That iPhone cup holder one was actually quite good.

I have a tip: Do not throw your camera in the air, because you will discover a power called 'Gravity' :o

My dad is a hardcore photography enthusiast. I spent half my childhood posing for his pictures. As a result I hate being photographed, and I don't own a camera.

Lightpainting is something I do all the time, so here is a trick: Get a powerful flashlight (and a friend), then have your friend hold the flashlight while you paint. When you're finished, turnoff the light and position yourself for the picture. Your friend should shine the light on your body (without getting themselves into the picture) for as quickly as possible. Then, you appear in your Lightpainting photo along with your drawing!

One trick that is interesting but takes time. Is on a clear day you have to find a room that you want to take a photo in.

You gotta put a trash bag on your window making your room as dark as possible.

You then take a bobby pin and poke one single pin hole into the bag.

Aim the camera at a wall and take a very slow shutter speed photo.  If you do it right, everything outside of your house is actually projected onto the wall but upsidedown.

5 dollars for a cardboard box? 3 bucks for a piece of string? Is Buzzfeed a government agency?

I was stuck for an idea in photography for textures patterns and design and used light painting, turned out great plus got a good grade because it was an idea my teacher hadn't seen explored yet in his class.

I think the coolest one is with covering the camera cardboard with a design cut out. You could make some interesting shots with that.

When framing your image, imagine that the entire frame is divided into thirds vertically and horizontally so that it's divided into 9 "squares". Now, frame the image so that a few objects and elements line up with the lines and squares (the horizon with one of the horizontal line, or a lamp post with a vertical one, or the interesting boulder filling up one of the corner squares) and you'll probably get an interesting image! This doesn't always work, but it's a great way to teach yourself framing.
Also, when taking a picture of someone, don't put their face smack dab in the center, fill the frame with their bodies!

I like the way they show the cost of all the items, not just assume that you have most of it or can find most of it for free through friends like a lot of videos do...
