If it can be shown to be positive, then why not?
Caution though. It's unlikely to be significant. Even if it did, you need to make sure you do it every year thereafter, so as not to cause a sudden shock when it stops.

Perhaps if the U.S. and other countries finally realize something needs to do, they can join in this effort. That will probably be too late, but at least they are experimenting and collecting results in case it's a future solution.

I think we've unintentionally been "tinkering" with the planet for the last 100 years and we're about to suffer the consequences. I like that they are trying something.

I'm not trying to be negative, but creating a few skating rinks on the ice is going to have essentially zero effect.

Waste off time and energy. Dont go that way, when we all know what to do. Just watch the co2-reduction-curve, when human activity was low during covid a few years ago.

Where do they get the fresh water from?

Arctic Ocean is only 5.5 million square miles.

This is a NICE idea but terribly executed:
-Salt water doesnt like to freeze
-Hydrogen is NOT a renewable energy
You either burn fossil fuels or use renewables to make it but the latter is so inefficient it makes it extremely expensive for the power output
-That water output is to low to actually make an impact but if you put industrial pump the water pressure will most likely melt the ice instead of making it xD

Technology got us to where we are today and you think technology will solve the problems? lol

Salt and ice don’t mix. Only the freshwater freezes in an ocean. Putting the salt water on top is a no go.

Ever put water on ice? Usually melts it cuz it’s not as cold 🤣
