Ethanol vs Carburetors.

The green gunk from Ethanol that destroys motorcycle carburators. Ended up removing the carbs and cleaning again. Dont let your gas set all summer in the can. Use it or loose it.

This is what 10% ethanol gas looks like it you leave it set in the gas can for several months. I rebuilt my carbs once after spend a month away from home. I noticed a green film stuck to everything inside and it required a thorough cleaning before installing them. And stupid me filled them up from a gas can that had sitting in the garage all summer and the bike wouldnt start. I drained the bowls and got a thin green liquid with clumps of green slime. Now I am sure that I will need to remove and clean the carbs again. Never again will I put ethanol mixture gasoline in my motorcycle or lawn equipment. Ethanol will gum up your carbs in less than a month of sitting idle.

They say ethanol is good for the environment, but really it's worse !
