We need to increase our own energy production in the US. Give Europe the energy it needs so it can’t be coerced and manipulated by Russian demands…

But you're going to get oil from other regimes like Iran and Venezuela. START OUR OWN PRODUCTION OF OIL AND GAS AGAIN. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE??!!??!!

Our economy is collapsing. It's literally being killed by hyperinflation.

Gee, another thing Donald Trump was correct about. We needed to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and he was criticized

We need to produce our own oil here in the USA we have it why not use it.

I like living in a country where you can criticise the government and deviate from the state controlled narrative without going to jail for 15 years. How about you?

$10 a gallon gas, empty store shelves - no food, no fuel...

This ain’t about oil. If the government wanted to lower the gas prices they could. Remember the keystone pipeline that was shut down by this guy as soon as he got in office? Turn it back on. The price of gas started going up as soon as he did that. Now it’s the tail wagging the dog. You’re locking the door after the horses get out

If the pipelines weren't shutdown when Biden came in we'd still be completely independent. But yes, blame the greedy oil corporations for the current prices. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Him saying he's not holding back oil production in the US is the dummest thing I've heard all day.

3.57% - Russian oil exports to the USA. Prices in the US are rising because of the structural crisis, Russia has nothing to do with it.

60 Million barrels = 2, 520, 000, 000 gallons (1 barrel is 42 gallon)

According to the U.S. Energy Information administration "In 2020, about 123.73 billion gallons (or about 2.95 billion barrels) of finished motor gasoline were consumed in the United States, an average of about 338 million gallons per day (or about 8.05 million barrels per day). This was the lowest level of annual consumption since 1997 and about 14% less than the record level of consumption of nearly 392 million gallons per day in 2018. The decrease in gasoline consumption in 2020 was the largest annual decrease recorded and largely the result of the global response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic."

So, if we all stopped working and air traveling, 8 days worth of reserved gas. Then what?

Domestic production is beyond necessary. It is an imperative. Equally, NO to Venezuelan and Iranian oil. Completely unacceptable. Let them drown on their oil.

Remember when Trump was president and all we had to worry about was COVID? I miss those days.
