Turning Red, a new feature film arriving March 2022, introduces Mei Lee, a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which for a teenager is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Turning Red is directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and produced by Lindsey Collins.

The music choice, is incredible, because the way the singer says “me” sounds like the main character’s nick name mei mei, so me” sounds like “mei” am I right?

FINALLY! A film taking place in Canada!! What the hell?! Nothing ever takes place in Canada when it comes to Disney/Pixar etc. Holy crap its so cool to see Canada animated. And the fact it's in Toronto, this is amazing. I'm actually going to watch this just for the sake of it taking place in Canada. Good film in general it looks to be, but come on - Canada?! Amazing. Canada never is a set location. I know Toronto has been filmed for years only to be for a scene that takes place in NYC, but I'm just so surprised by this. I'm going to watch this just because it's "Canadian". This is nice. About time! And they used the old trams from the 1970s! Not the new modern ugly ones. They really are capturing Toronto's iconic look. I'm so looking forward to this. I wonder if there will be scenes I recognize besides the Canadian National Tower and Roger's Center.

Pretty great movie trailer, but I feel Pixar's recent movies rely too much on the premise of humans becoming animals. In Soul, main character becomes a cat. In Luca, main character is a fish-human hybrid. In Turning Red, main character is connected to red pandas. Three in a row. I don't hate this kind of premise but Pixar is universally known for originality and creativity, and having a trio of movies unrelated to each other having the same schtick...is weird for them.

Hi everyone. As much as I hate edits, I have to address this. I am aware a verified YouTuber named Dark had stolen my comment. Personally, I was a bit upset as I feel we should be more original when we comment on social platforms open to the public. My comment was what I thought of the movie based on the trailer, an opinion, so copying my personal opinion is a bit...wrong. However, I know it is just a comment, so I am not so affected by it. I also enjoy reading the replies to Dark's comment as I get to understand the interpretation of the trailer from different people, compared to me. Anyways, thanks for reading!

This is actually pretty funny and it really tells you a lot more information this time Plus with her friends natural reaction and not running away actually pretty smart because usually when it comes to kids transforming into a giant monster usually their friends runaway in movies! Lol also the feel of the movie feels very early 2000s-ish!
