yeah, supernatural is such a perfect word to describe the feel that this background ambience generates. and not only the background, but everything, my god, this is really, really beautiful and totally new to me. i had never listened to it before and all of a sudden it turns out to be one of my favorites of hers. greatness is a key word here.

Bjork is amazing. Truly. words cannot express how much I enjoy her music. That was beautifully said by the way, a 'spear piercing a grey sky'.... the grey that we all have the power to blossom and shine from :)

I think its the opposite way around... we're becoming more individual, and more disconnected from one another, through things like social networking, the media and the way we interact... if you think about it how judgemental have we become? Music has always had soul, love, meaning and emotion, and it always will do - no matter in what form it comes. Some artists are more unique and push boundaries more than others... Bjork being a perfect example. God I love her work :D

Bjork speaks to us in a language before our time where poetic expression and communication were the same thing. Many people find her odd because tragically we are losing our general sense of individualism. The sensation I feel when I listen to her music is like a spear piercing a grey sky and with it comes this intense technicolour experience that is uplifting and haunting in equal measure. Why? I scrolled down and found a lot of replies to a comment by one Mr. Meatmog, so naturally i had to know what that comment was. When i found this 3 year old comment, i felt it disarmingly true & eloquent enough to deserve reposting in the new comment system:

To add my 2 cents of hope, though, i feel that as a race we have existed in a desensitized state for long enough now that the people are beginning to realize & revert, and people like bjork are leading this spiritual revolution. Don't despair, lead by example and you will eventually find people behind you.
