Not saying that this version is going to be any better. But the directors cut of his movie 'Kingdom of Heaven' was miles better than the original theatrical release and almost an entirely different movie/story.

Why hasn't this movie come to any physical media for movie collectors, it's been almost a year since it's first released and yet no physical format version, I haven't watched yet and been holding out for a physical version, I don't do streaming or anything digital.

On Prime Video I switched the language to "French" and selected English subtitles which made things a little bit more realistic I will however skip the director's cut. Spielberg seems to be working on a series, most likely much better.

i would like to think the directors cut would be better, but such a thing cant change just how aggravatingly wrong the whole depiction of napoleonic warfare is - napoleon never led any cavalry charges, and the march into russia looks ridiculous - it was summer when they marched in and it wasnt some pathetic thin march column just blindly walking into cossack traps, will the directors cut make any aspect of waterloo look at all remotely believable or vaguely accurate? Would it not have been better to show napoleon commanding his marshals ? There is too much that is just not salvageable
