*Nexus 5 - is it still worth it?*

_Second time's a charm!_

Two questions:

1. Why is the tone of the video so, depressing? From the background music to his overall tone of voice. Did someone die?

2. How can you make videos about mobile tech when you don't even get the specs right? The Nexus 5 has an 8 MP camera *with OIS*.

One simple answer: Yes.

If Google plans to stop production on these, it's a still a steal to this day. The next thing that comes close that offers great bang for the buck is the One Plus but that requires an invitation.

The camera on the Nexus 5 honestly isn't that bad at all when you have HDR+ enabled, there's little to no noise in low light shots, and there's so much detail in HDR+ shots.

I absolutely love my nexus 5.... It runs buttery smooth, no lag at all, the experience itself is top notch and I find the camera not to be as bad as reviewers make it out to be. Most of the pictures I take look fine to my eye and look very true to life. For the average Joe the nexus 5 camera is good enough. And at this price point it takes the phone to another level (one plus one is almost impossible to get)

2 things he missed out...the nexus 5 DOES HAVE OIS... Secondly no mention of the recent software updates which has enhanced the camera and also the screen calibration significantly was never mentioned...come on android authority do better than that. Give jack his jacket I sold my note 3 to get back a nexus 5 not only because of the experience but because its an all round phone! The camera experience is wonderful even though its a 8mp shooter.

I own a N5 and I had the opportunity to use the One plus One for a few hours and I can tell you that the biggest pros of the One+ is the battery life and the bigger screen (and maybe the camera but I don't care much about that). Performance wise it isn't much of a difference, both phones are fast although One+ has more FPS when running demanding games (obviously). If you own a N5 I suggest keeping it, if you want to upgrade your old phone I say buy the One+ (it's a better bang for the buck but I think Google will drop the price on the N5 when N6 will be launch).

I must say with the nexus 6 I was disappointed. They shouldn't have made it bigger and THEY DOUBLED THE PRICE???!!!

I just got my nexus 5 3 days ago. I've been a huge fan of android since the G1 and all my phones after the G1 has been android. But in my opinion there's nothing like having stock android. I was going to pre-order the nexus 6 but I got offered $300 for a brand new black nexus 5 so I jumped on it. Love the channel keep on the awesome work

The Nexus 5 did have image stabilisation, it was one of the first to have optical image stabilisation which many argue is better than normal image stabilisation, I think the quality of my Nexus 5 camera is just as good as most phones now but with the added advantage of the OIS

This is a FANTASTIC video. Very nice explanation, both pros and cons were mentioned, all needed information was included in the video.

Nexus 5 + Android 5.0 = YES, why? 2013 specs + real Android experience for $350 is a steal. You should be able to buy Nexus 5 32gb for around $340 on eBay now because Nexus 6 is coming out this month.Nexus 5 is the best phone for $350 and it will be till next year probably

I am still getting nexus 5 for Custom roms and such because Most Phones on Att and Verizon Have Locked bootloaders and the Nexus 5 Does not because it is on T-mobile and It is a phone that comes straight from google so that is Why the N5 will be the best phone for me

I sincerely hope Google upgrade & relaunch the Nexus 5 early 2015, maybe as the Nexus 6 Mini.  There is still a huge appetite for 5" screens and no larger.
