There are now more than 210 wildfires actively burning in British Columbia and the majority of them, about 70 per cent, are believed to be caused by lightning. More than 60 are burning out of control.

It’s thrown homeowners into survival mode, most recently in the southern Okanagan, where fire crews raced to save yet another neighbourhood. In just 24 hours, there were 48 new fires in the province.

Robin Gill reports on the communities on edge and under threat from fast-moving fires.
