Phew! Haven’t done the “do nots” - only because I’m pretty timid in approaching influencers. One thing I’m onto is carefully studying each influencer I’m interested in. I discovered one influencer copped to having anxiety before every podcast. Knowing this I made sure to compliment her delivery after every podcast. She soon entered into a dialogue with me😊

I actually did this with an influencer. She lost her son and my book is about the loss of my son and how to rebuild your life and find purpose. I wrote a personal note in my book and signed it. I sent it out and we will see. Haven't seen anything yet but my thought is if I do this and it touches one of them, maybe it will help the sale of my own book. I believe it will always come back to you one day.

Oh no! I did the very thing I shouldn’t do with my number one influencer…😮 I hope I haven’t blown it. When you went down the list of what not to do, my jaw dropped. I had done every one. Luckily the damage is isolated to only one person. I have learned my lesson. Thank you!

I have found its the relationships that pay dividends. I have been successful in getting contributors for my book stories this way. I will also say that to get an 'A' lister - well lets just say I'm still working on those relationships. All the best.
