This is just fabulous! I was born in 1970 and of course I had a original steel tonka truck. Man the fun I had running behind it with both hands glued to it lol. I'm going check out this build video. Thanks again medic for showcasing others work so we can all see it.

I had one of these when I was little. Lived in base quarters and I took this up to the top of the stairs and sat down in the box and road the truck down the stair case and it held up really well. What a ride and so much fun.

I was born in 2001 and they still made those. I still have it and I'm 15 now. Obviously I don't play with it anymore but that just shows how good things were made back then. Great video btw!

I was sooo dissapointed when I saw the axial tires on that monster. But then you put some proper ones and it was all good. GJ! Turning toys like these intro RCs is a child dream come true.

Mine was the older one with the all steel chassis and vertical white plastic headlights. Damn I wish I still had that ... and my front loader. I got them for Christmas 1979.

OMG Aaron! I'm going through your older Videos again! I remember this Series. I had a fleet of Tonka Trucks WAY back in the late 60's to early 70's. Dad always chucked them when they began to
WHO KNEW that 40 years later, this would be a *Desirable* attribute??!! 😱
I think I should build something like that for my little Greyson. In about 5 years, when he's old enough to appreciate and enjoy it, he could have a COOL, *Indestructible* Rig, to do whatever he wants to it!!

THIS is why I love going through your older So many great ideas!

I loved that! It might seem strange but the best part for me was the tire marks on the table.

If you paint the rims, tailgate and piston yellow I bet no one even notice it was different then an original truck. Awesome truck!
