iPad Pro 12.9' 2017 in 2021 - INSANE Value!

With all the iPad Pro 2021 rumors floating about, it's hard to remember that "older" Apple hardware is still fantastic. In this video I touch on the iPad Pro 12.9" 2017 (2nd gen) model's legacy but quality design, stunning display, more than adequate battery life/screen on time, camera setup and its surprising performance 3 and a half years after its initial launch. I also introduce to you my boyfriend who has some commentary on the device with regard to illustration/sketching with the Apple Pencil first generation.

I picked up a 64 gig iPad Pro 10.5 in mint condition back in October to replace my trusty old Air 2 and I think it was a fantastic pick for the price (about the equivalent of 400 usd), I could've pick the 8th gen new and maybe even the Air 3 but the pro just seem better for my usage, A10X is still a very capable SoC and coupled with the 120Hz display it provides a pretty smooth and fast user experience.


I'd like to see a comparison between the 10.5 inch iPad Pro and the new iPad Air 4.

Hi, thanks for the video! I’ve bought the new iPad Pro 12.9 2020 this January. I’m an artist drawing vector and raster illustrations and this tiny power up was really crucial for me. Waiting for the new released would cost me more money at this point. Speaking of the size - it’s surprisingly more convenient than my old iPad Pro 9.7. 12.9 sits on a lap so perfect when you’re drawing on a couch and even caffe. I even think “oh it could be a tiny bit bigger” when I’m drawing lol. And to be honest the only problem for me is to grab it up from the table (no bezels + small hands😅), absence of 3.5 mm. That’s it. I’m sure 2017 model is still great, my friend do use it for raster illustrations in Clip Studio, but if you’re a working professional deciding to buy the new iPad, just grab the latest one with 256gb and up.
