It's more than physical. The intensity that goes into it is very impressive. The focus...my son does tree work. To watch him work, everything having to be precise...only certain people are built for this job. Only certain moms are built to feel pride instead of fear for them. I look forward to the day he leaves this job but will enjoy videos of his tree felling immensely in the meantime. He said once that there's never a good day in treework but he was wrong. Every day he comes home is a good day.

That split in the middle leaving one half in called a barber chair. That’s a great way to make felling trees a short career. New guys have to learn and long time guys have to remember not to get comfortable.
