Has it not occurred to you that the Yonaguni monument was a quarry
So those are benches. Hence the squared out and step like exposures but without proper or obvious purpose. Yes there were access steps or pathways but lots of it is just quarry faces.
It would make more sense to measure the .missing bits and then find them on land elsewhere.
