If Schlossnagle called a meeting with the present A&M players they should boycott him as truthfulness is paramount in any coach. No wonder he didn't get too excited during the championship game as he looked like he was in LALA Land !

Thanks for the chuckle, McClain acting indignant about a coach lying to the media 🤣

Coaches, GMs, Owners, ADs lie to the media all the time. It's an accepted and expected part of American sports.

For a little background on what happened here, Texas A&M athletic director Trev Alberts came in with the mantra that Athletics has an "expense problem."

That was his exact terminology. He made some cuts to the baseball support staff and obviously the coach was not happy about it, so when this opportunity arose with an athletic director that he knows and trusts it was pretty much a no-brainer to take it.

This was pretty douchy by Schloss. He will likely regret his choice of words last night.

It sucks when any head coach goes to the rival school. However, IMO, what has the Aggies fired up is HOW it happened. Sportscasters all over the country have denounced Schlossnagle as a scumbag, fraud and worse names. One thing they agree upon is that Schlossnagle handled his departure in the worse way EVER! What did he do that was so wrong? He LIED to the world on national television when he said that nothing had changed about him staying at A&M. Then he castigated the reporter who asked him the question about his plans. (To stay or leave.) Then he LIED when he said he didn't have time to tell his team that had played their hearts out for him! What about on the plane, on the bus ride or calling a quick meeting? He LIED again when he said the Elko had not met with his team. He did, although by zoom. This damages his reputation regarding TRUST. Furthermore, not thanking his team is a despicable move and raises questions about whether he loves his players or “USES” them.

Schlossnagle elevated the program at A&M. The Aggies are grateful to him. He will do a great job at UT. But his LIES will damage his recruiting and relationship with players for a while. It was rumored that Schlossnagle said he could bring two of A&M's biggest stars with him, LaViolette and Grahovac. They took their names out of the portal as some others have preferring Mike Earley to Schlossnagle. And the star of the playoffs, Kent, has chosen Earley. It was no surprise as he openly disliked Schlossnagle as some others. BTW, two of the descriptions about Earley, that was repeated over and over again by the players, is that they TRUSTED him and that he LOVED them!

The players even went so far as to go to the AD and the president of the university to ask that they hire Earley. They love the man. It will be a lot of fun watching the two teams play in the future. As for the Aggie leadership and the players, as they said yesterday, they have moved on.

24 hours ago, these Aggie fans were saying that Tennessee's Vitello was the one who would defect. Right under their noses.

Money talks and commitments to a team family and recruitment to kids that believe in the program walks.

People forget the fact he also said the same thing prior to leaving TCU. I don't feel bad for for A&M because they didn't care back then either.

Don’t recall A&M fans having the same moral compass when he left TCU.

Man really said.. despite the fact that Texas is arguably the most decorated NCAA baseball program of all time, and you're moving from BFE Cstat to Austin... it's a lateral move 😂

A&M may need to play tu on a neutral site the next 3 seasons (6 years) so the dust can clear. This situation if he returns will not be a healthy one for anyone involved and will just take away from the game for the kids playing. Lets go to the Big 10 before this gets any worse we know how this all ends for any league TU is involved in.

Ha, going from A&M to Texas is never a “lateral” move. Clearly since it took him all of 24 hrs to make up his mind.

A money grappler and it is good that A&M got rid of such an untruthful man How can a player even trust him !

A lying manipulative and non-stop whining head coach is a PERFECT fit for Austin, TX. There is no doubt Schloss will win many baseball games there, but he has permanently lost my respect and I bet im not alone. Congrats Longhorns you make an all time snake the highest paid coach in baseball only time will tell how it'll work out for both sides. Doesnt matter tho he got that bag which obviously based on his record in Omaha is much more important than winning championships.

poor Aggies, lose the championship, lose the coach... but isn't that why the call them "Aggies"?
