Realistic instant Sunday reset with me! Embracing my small clean & tidy modest home inch by inch. I get the "how does your home get messy" all the time and I never really understood it because I know how much I take care of my home and that it does look clean and tidy the majority of the time. In today's video I shed light on "normal" homes. I think social media and tv has made it seem like every home should either be minimalistic and / or look like something out of a magazine when most homes are average and well loved. They have lots of items relating to memories of the past, things they like and want to express AND STUFF! Normalize normal homes! Our home is almost 30 years old, she's a little rough around the edges and that's okay! Don't ever let anyone make you think that your home is dirty when you spend time keeping it clean and tidy. Everyone's taste is different. I don't believe in normalizing hoarding situations or down right filth but "lived in homes" are absolutely normal and nothing to be ashamed of. Also, not everyone has the energy to clean every single day! If you are making strides to keep your home clean than you are doing your best and at the end of the day that speaks volumes over what someone else says. Tell that mother-in-law to go clean her own house instead of worrying about the dust on the shelf at yours.!

Hi Kimi we have a small mobile home also and its got the lived in look lol you only have so much room. Im surely not going around with a tooth brush and cleaning it every day. Your home is fine its not dirty.

It’s just me and my husband that live in our home. We are a lot older than you and Aaron. But I have always done my dishes everyday and night. I hate waking up to a messy kitchen or bathroom. After 55 yrs of marriage I have trained my husband well. lol. You will get there one day. Be glad when y’all get to doing things outdoors. That’s what I like to see because in my stage of life I’m not able to have a big garden. We do plant tomato plants in pots.

Girl, what? I'm not seeing any mess here... I see a fellow person who doesnt own a dishwasher and has a constant flow of dishes moving around their kitchen because they cook at home. lol. As a lover of decor your home actually looks very minimalist to me! It could almost pass as an airbnb. Maybe people think its messy because your home is mainly a very bright white, which imo makes for a crisp backdrop that makes every bit of "clutter" pop out alot more.
