Cantine Barbera | An Introduction

Cantine Barbera is a small boutique winery in Menfi, South-western coast of Sicily.
The Barbera family have been grape producers since 1920's and Marilena Barbera, third generation proprietor and winemaker, tells about her mission of producing high quality natural wines made with organic grapes that respect the beautiful terroir and the traditional culture of Sicily.
Inzolia, Nero d'Avola, Grillo and Perricone, as well as Alicante, Catarratto and Zibibbo, represent the most interesting indigenous grapes that are grown in Tenuta Belicello; the vineyard is also planted with international varieties that have best adapted to the Sicilian terroir, such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
